So my daughter went to the Spring Fling and is spending the night at a friend's house.
Michael, who recently turned 18, is at the drive-in movies (yikes!)
Hubby is out in his new shed, tinkering and working on things.
Daisy is sleeping on my lap and I was just thinking that my kids really are pretty much grown and don't rely on me quite so much which is technically a good thing, but makes me a little whistful too  |

Hmmm... Tracey... maybe you just need MORE dogs! 
It's funny because both of my "skin kids" have been gone from home for almost 10 years now. My son lives in the same city, but he's so busy with things that I only get to see him a few times a year... and my daughter lives almost 3,000 miles away.. and we always wish we could be together! She called me on Friday to tell me she probably won't be able to come home for Christmas this year, like she had previously planned. I told her that I understand... 
We laughed... because I told her not to worry though, I have plenty of "dog family" all the time... and I've learned that I can pretty much count on them to be here no matter what... as long as I feed them!  And.... that I am never short on "kisses" either!
