Hi, everyone! This isn't dog-related but I wanted to ask you all anyway, because you all are so imforative, and I thank you for that! As some of you might know my fur family consists of my 3 Rts: Bali, Ravyn, Dai Dae, my westie: JT, and my Turkish Van cat, Split( gonna get a pic....sometime!). Now thats a handfull! Not as nearly as some of you guys though...!

Split is kind of lonely, being the only cat! She's about a year old and I think its about time to get another kitten, for her, for me, and of course, Dai Dae! Now here's my question: Do any of YOU Personally know of a responsible, reputable cat breeder/ know of any kittens free/sale? Preferably a turk or a norweign forest cat. I have looked into my area and the 'breeders'' I found were not at all acceptable! Don't get me started on that...I don't care if there is a spray/neuter contract,as I certainly not going to breed! And I don't care if they are registered or not. Thanks in advance! Willing to travel too.

I have tried the local animal shelter as well but they didn't have any kittens available and had few cats that got along with other pets. I don't mind rescuing/adopting a cat/kitten either, if any one knows of some available, I'll look into it!

I thought I had a pic of her on my computer, guess not. I'll have to wait till my digital camera charges( lol, I so love taking pictures! My favorite subjects are of my dogs and dogs/children!) That reminds me, I will have to post a picture of big smoochie between Dai Dae and my youngest cousin!

Do you all know that Reg. Kittens are EXPENSIVE!? I have seen them listed for over 3,000 dollars! Anywhere from $400.00 and up! Wow! Whoa!

Do you ever sleep? LOL
Yes, registered kittens, especially a fancy breed, is extremely expensive.

LOL! Sometimes I sleep! Sometimes, I remark: I am the modern vampire! Stay up all night, sleep all day! My 2 favorite cat breeds are as some guessed, Turkish van cats and norweign forest cats! Lol, I am so glad someone finally replied! It was kind of boring talking to myself, but hey it helps me!

Lol, I welcome anyone's opinion, even if they loathe cats! I found an add for some near my area, I am going to check it out later and see if its right for me. Lol, I am going to drive like 25 miles. Well, thanks for replying!

I'm noctornal too. The DH and I used to work all night, literally and sleep during the day...then the rascal came along. The little guy put a wrench in that program.

I had to look up the breeds that you mentioned. I can see why you like them so much. I like cats too, but I have falled in love with bobtails: manx or japanese bobtail. I think I like those breeds, because they tend to act more like dogs.

I had a bobtail a long time ago and your right, just like a dog! My sister had a manx, can't recall much about it thouh, its been years. Never had a japanese bobtail, though I have seen them and know about them. Do you know about Somali cats? Bombay? Asian leopard cats? Lol, I could go on and on! Its strange.....I'vent always liked cats. I used to be stricktly a DOG person....until my mothering female dog found a newlyborn kiten and took it home. Together we raised that kitten, along with Kip's litter( that was a totally accident litter! A male jumped my fence to get her! After the litter, I got her fixed and the pups too, so their wouldn't be any unwanted pups to add to the population....cute little guys they were too!). I don't think that cat knew that it was a cat.....when the pups were weaned, the kitten was too and went to a friend, who's daughter named it 'Doggie". Lol, kind of the opposite of the dog named kitty!

I have always liked animals in general: dogs, cats, birds, etc. I know all of the breeds you listed and they are absolutely gorgeous. However, during my pregnancy, we, as a family, went through a very strange experience with our female bobtail.

She must have known that I was pregnant, before any of us knew. She would attack Nappy, the only male pet, for no apparent reason. The attacks came on suddenly, then after about a week, we learned that I was pregnant. She calmed down, until the week before I went into labor. I told DH that I would probably go into labor soon, because she was acting unusually protective.

So, after the baby was born, things went back to normal for about two months...until she viciously attacked DH. She broke a blood vessel in his arm, tore him up pretty badly. I'd much rather wrestle with a dog, than an angry cat.

I have never heard anything like that before! What happened after she attacked Dh?

It was bizarre. I was actually afraid of her for a while, or better yet...what she might do to the males in my house, including the newly born baby.

We had to keep her contained in the basement for a while and then she slowly returned to "normal," but she was close to getting an eviction notice.
