Our library friends group is having their annual book sale at the Plano Centre on Spring Creek and Avenue K in Plano.  They are also having a group of romance writers there.  It just costs $5 at the door.  Best of all, you'd get to meet me!  I'm working there tonight taking the entry fees.

Authors:
Lisa Scottoline
Julia Quinn
Victoria Alexander
Dixie Cash (2 sisters)
Teresa Medeiros
Eloisa James
Lorraine Heath
Cathie Linz
Adele Ashworth
Kathryn Caskie
Laura Lee Guhrke
Anna Campbell

I've read a couple of Scottoline's books- lawyer mysteries.
Looks like a nice high profile event for your library!

Wow! Sounds like that would be a FUN event... wish I could have flown on over!

I've always loved true crime writer  Ann Rule, and a few years ago for hubby's birthday (he really likes her books too) Ann was going to be speaking in Portland. so I got tickets as a surprise for Bruce's birthday. It turned out Ann got sick and couldn't make it to Portland as planned, but   I emailed her just to say that I hoped she was feeling better... and that I had bought tickets for hubby's birthday etc. and that both of us had enjoyed her books for many years, and were looking forward to meeting her. She wrote back and sent hubby late birthday wishes... and what a super nice lady she is! Hubby was just as impressed that she emailed me back... and sent him birthday wishes.... so that turned out to be a darn cheap birthday gift!
Still hoping to catch Ann Rule another time when she'll be in Portland, and try it again!

How cool. Sounds like a great event. I'd definitely come if I lived near there. I've read a lot of Scottoline's stuff. It's very good

Well, all the author ladies came walking by as I was working there. I didn't know who was who (whom?) but they all said hello and seemed nice. One had an English accent, but I don't know who she was.
