I know I've been MIA for awhile... I've simply gotten myself over-extended with commitments I've made, and we're leaving to go out of town for several days... leaving in the morning. We're taking Bailey & Buster and leaving the two dachshunds with a friend. We're in BAD need of getting away for a few days. Work has been unbelievably busy ... "free" time is spent training (Bailey is doing AWESOME by the way! So proud of my little guy), at the nursing home, and heavily involved in this fundraiser for my trainer to help fund her trip to Norway for the AKC World Agility competition the end of of Sept. I've also had tons of "homework" for this canine behavior class I'm taking, but I'm enjoying this class SO much! I've learned so much ...
I've been asked to do the photography at a fund-raiser for Walden's Puddle this fall... which is a wildlife refuge about 2 hours from my house. I'm so excited about this! I've had several "photo shoots" with dogs lately too.. seem to be getting more requests and I'm having fun with it! The beauty of being an amateur is that you don't have to guarantee your work ! LOL
Thanks to Tracey, Paul... and some of the others for responding to the training threads. We've been blessed with some very knowledgeable people on the forum who give great advice.
Sometimes I don't say "no" as well as I should, and I find myself chasing my tail as I have been for the past week or so.
I'll check in next week upon my return home. There's no way I can catch up with all the posts. Wow! Lots of new members! YIPPEE!
Take care everyone -- and God bless !! |
