I just got a new car with leather seats and I don't know how to transport Molly and Josie without ruining the seats.  I know, I know...I can look online for answers, but I want ya'lls opinions.  I crate them in the car and I don't want the crate to hurt the seats.

Thanks!

Other than just draping your seats with thick blankets, I have no idea!

Yeah, that's probably what I would do.

You could get soft crates but blankets would be cheaper.

I use a blanket on the seat and also a harness so that Millie can't jump all over and scratch the seats. The harness has a hook in the back and you attach it to a strap w/ a clip that goes through the car seatbelt. It works well.

See if you can find cheap car seat covers you can use when you have the dogs in the car. Bob has ridden in hubby's pickup that has leather seats and hasn't hurt them. But he wasn't in his crate.

Blanket... that's what I use.  Apollo has a harness that he sits in too but Emma is too small so she rides in her crate.  I just make sure that the blanket is tucked in the between the top part of the seat and the bottom part... you know, where the crack is where the seatbelt buckle is.  Another good idea is to make sure that you ( or a groomer ) keep their nails clipped.  Also another good place to keep protected is the door especially just under the window, because when they stand up to look out they can tend to scratch that as well.

A blanket should help a great deal and you definitely want to harness them in.
