Yesterday, we were all at a neighbor's just chatting a bit.

I was holding Penny, when this young man strolled down the hill with a gorgeous, HUGE shepherd.

Penny started growling and barking as if she were in eminant danger!

It was hilarious...we all laughed so hard. I guess it's true that ratties are just fiesty by nature, regardless of size (or lack there of).

Oh geez, that sounds like Mitzy, the smallest of my bunch! Now Mayfly IS timid but only with new people, not dogs.

Penny just wanted to show him who is the boss of the neighborhood! She sounds like little Emma, who bossed Bob around in his own house.

Speaking of bossy ratties: At the lake last weekend, we were all sitting around our friends camp fire and Judy had her two yorkie mixes, Quigley and Cora, and all was well, they and Daisy were just hanging out. But about an hour or so later, Daisy is doing her best to keep Judy's own dogs from getting on her lap so she could sit up there!!!! Not mean or snippy or anything, just herding them away from her. Crazy dog thinks everyone belongs to her.

All my inlaws own BIG dogs, and when there's a family get-together, we always try to meet someplace dog-friendly, and there is usually 5 Dobies, one German Shepherd-----and Lucy. Lucy backs those big dogs right into a corner if they so much as sniff her! She cracks me up! It's all about the RATtitude!

Vinnie has some real "Rattitude" as well. He tries to put all dogs in their place immediately.
