Jack's never been one to chew things up, but for the past week or so he keeps stealing their things and I find him mutilating them!!  What gives??

Is he jealous of someone, something?
Have you changed your routine, or his food?

Any recent changes in the house?

His food, but he loves that. Otherwise things are pretty much the same I guess.

What kind of things? Does he have his own chewies around for him to use?

Hmmm, I'm stumped.
And you haven't changed your schedule or anything?

Cassie will chew on the covers when she wakes up from a nap.Not sure why but she'll bite down on them and make this squirming motion like she's trying to scratch her back but even after she stops scratching, she will keep biting and i've had to replace the covers several times because she's chewed holes through them!

I don't know as I've never spent any length of time with an unneutered male dog, but is it possible there's a female in the area adn he's "frustrated" and acting out? Is that even likely, anyone? Just throwing out ideas....

Maxi wasn't neutered and he was more frustrating, than frustrated LOL.
Is Jack teething, by chance?

He has all the same toys and bones as he has always had.  Maybe he wants more attention.  It's has been either hot or rainy here lately so we haven't spent a lot of time outside playing.  The kids have been playing with him though.  He's probably mad at me for something

He's almost 8 months so probably not teeth. But I guess it could be the unneutered thing???

That could be his issue - less time outside playing, i.e. less exercise. Even though the kids are playing with him it's not the same. Just a guess though!

Ok...so maybe it is the scent of a woman, huh? If it is, that's amazing, but I've had male dogs and they never did that (to my recollection).
However...I did have one who would wait by the window for the dog up the street and when she walked by, he'd go bonkers. So, maybe that is the case.
