Ok well I get there early and sign in and fill out the paperwork.  I guess I get a big ole $6.00 plus .60 cents a mile.  WHOOPEEE (yea right) so she says to go sit out in the hall.  So out I go.  The defendant is there with her mom.  Thier lawyer shows up along with the two troopers involved.  Lawyer goes in comes out goes back in again.  Then he comes out and tells the girl that she would have to pay $500 for everything.  Mommy goes to bank for her and they go in.  They come out and leave.  I hear her say "since I did all the meetings on my own I don't have to do them.  I go in and ask if I was still needed.  The clerk said "Didn't the prosecutor talk to you?" Nope I didn't even see him.  So she calls his office and he already left for lunch! So I say well tell him that the next time he supoenas someone he should at least come out and tell them that they aren't needed. I just wasted a days vacation for nothing.  She totally understood and appologized for him and said that she was going to speek to him. Yea right she only said that to make me feel better.

On the otherhand.  I got to put my doggy bath tub together and 99% set up.  Have to get a few peices parts in the plumming area.

How frustrating!! Way to rude! So sorry doesn't seem right that he can get away with it. Maybe you should write a letter to the editor of your local paper!

Look at this as a "blessing", Tabitha---I've been called to court to testify over stupid things like property disputes between neighbors and I HATED it.  No matter how trivial your testimony may seem, some lawyer will make you feel like YOU are the guilty party. Just be glad you didn't have to go, and you got your doggy bath tub put together---hey, and got 6-bucks on top of it all!

How frustrating! So what kind of punishment did that girl get? Just a $500 fine?

Yep just a fine because she has already started going to AA meetings and an intervention and stuff. She'll end up killin someone someday. I don't think she took it serious. I wish they would let me testify.
