I got this chain, which I really like, but most of the pendants I would like to wear with it are oxidized silver while the chain is quite shiny and bright.

Is there a way to oxidize the chain a bit, or should I return this one and keep looking?

Love the chain, never tried to oxidize metal so can't help you there...Could you keep looking and save this one to wear without the pendant?

Sarah, I just read your post and asked a friend of mine here at work that does a lot of "metal stuff", and he said if you put the chain in a plastic bag with half of a cut-up hard boiled egg, it should oxidize in an hour or two. I've never tried that, but he swears it works.  Something about the sulpher content of the boiled egg, etc---the explanation was over my head.

Boiled egg- sounds crazy enough to work!  Thanks Paul.

Geez, now I gotta go boil water?  I didn't know it was going to be such Hard Work!
