1. Taken about 8 years ago

2.  Taken last year, shortly before she died.

She was a good girl

She looks a lot like our Reggie...he will be 11 in October! He has been with us since he was 2 and is an amazing dog! He is a trained Parkinson's Dog!
Reggie knows when Dave is freezing and puts his paw on his foot to break the freeze.  When Dave falls he comes by front and stands and braces to
help Dave back up! He has litterly saved his life! Once he got him out of mud [Dave lost his shoes] ...he used his body to lift him out! One time Dave fell in a patch of berry bramble.  Reggie tried to pull him out...he kept pulling berry bushes with his mouth...in the end he laid down and made sure he was ok.

Reggie also has the white on his muzzel now....Vet says he needs some Loving Care!!

I would include some pics, but don't know how to get them on here!

~ Jan ~ Thank you for posting the pictures of Bonnie! She was such a beauty... and reminds me so much of my brother's (male) choc. lab Vader,  who is now about 11 years old. Vader is still so happy and healthy for the most part.. but he is pretty crippled up with joint & hip problems.  My brother's neighbor wanted to breed their femaie lab to Vader about 5 years ago (when he was still in tip top shape) and my brother got two of the puppies from that litter that went to my sister, who had just lost her black Lab (Pepper)  to cancer at 8 years old.  The two pups that my sister has are Brenna and Orla...and Brenna is black, and Orla is yellow. They are both such sweet girls... and Brenna looks just like her daddy. They are both SO spoiled rotten ....   AND.... even more spoiled than my girls!  I'll have to get my sis to send me pictures of her Lab girls so you can see them!

Awww... Reggie sounds like such an awesome dog!  I'm so sorry that your husband suffers from Parkinson's disease. My daughter's father-in-law has had Parkinson's for a number of years (I think he is now 53) and was having a lot of really hard times the past few years. I think it was about a  year ago that he went in for surgery here in Oregon (I think is still an experimental treatment) where they put some sort of magnets in his head/brain? and fortunately Bill has been doing extremely well after having this surgery!  I'm so glad that your hubby has Reggie to watch out for him!
