Just a word of caution for those who might be interested, because I know several of the forum members wear these shoes.
I have several pair of Croc flip flops. I LOVE them !! They are SO comfortable!
Well Saturday night several of us were going to go out to eat following the dog show, so I packed a change of clothes and left them in the car during the day while I was at the trial. When I went back to my car later in the day to get my clothes and flip flops.... I was in shock !
My flip flops had shrunk to half their size! I couldn't even get my feet in them!
I took them back to the Birkenstock store on Monday evening and showed them to the manager. He said... "oh yes... they will shrink in a hot car or when exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time." and I said..."that's all well and good, but you should have told me when I purchased them that this was the case".
He gave me a new pair... but just figured it wouldn't be bad to tell about it ... just in case you have the need to leave your Croc shoes in a hot car for awhile...
They have something in them that is gel-like... and when it gets hot I guess it evaporates or something? I have no clue.... (the manager had a name for it, but I don't remember what it was).
