My hubby's business is custom computer building, repair- mobile service , networking and networking administration, he also teaches computer classes on pc's and macs. The list goes on... When there's something I can do, he brings it home to me. Today I am on a task for an elderly woman that wanted her hand-written address book made into a file that can be used to make computer generated address labels. I'm loving it... I'm sitting here at 9:30 am, wrapped in my favorite blanket, Johnny and Shiloh running in and out of the door, (alot of giggling going on) still with my bed hair and my coffee close at hand, chatting with you fine folks and reading loopy little old lady writing (elderly people's handwriting rocks folks! They were taught back when writing meant something!)

hehe best way to work...

I wish hubby was close enough to work on my puter... last year in Oct., for my birthday I got a new cd rom and sound card...
My friend Eric installed it for me and neither one works...
I need to get a new printer but won't cos I couldn't run the program that would come with it....
I know nothing about this stuff... and just haven't had the money to take the puter in...

That sounds so nice! I love my grandma's handwriting, it's so neat! And she always writes so slowly like she's making each letter perfect

As was I a year ago daisysmom... I worked for the local newspaper and seriously everyone there but me took prescription meds in order to make it through their day. Before that, I worked 17 years in dementia care, alzheimers and parkinson's disease mostly. The late stages, where the mind has gone, the body no longer functions and the behaviors are seriously out there... working at the newspaper with what were supposed to be regular folk was much much much worse! I hated my job, I cried daily, I lost 30 lbs due to stress. I worked there just under 3 years and added 10 years to my face I got out before it killed me and luckily hubby's business was just getting off the ground about that time. We do ok... would be tons easier if we weren't trying to raise the entire population of Weed, California's youth, but we manage to get by.

My mother has that kind of handwriting. They actually used to practice writing in school! Imagine that!

I often have to dig through county record books back into the 1800's and some of the handwriting in those books is beautiful---you can tell that back then people took pride in their work.  Today, just try to read a prescription form, I never know WHAT it's for, not to mention the signature---looks like a line and a dot, and that's IT---the Dr's signature!

How I relate to every word. I am much happier after walking away from my high-paying, high-stress job. Instead of losing, I gained weight. I went from being underweight to very overweight. The job that I loved and worked hard to get had turned into the most dreaded part of my life.

If you love your job, that's a blessing.

Isn't it GREAT to love your job? I love mine....this might sound weird, but I LOVE Mondays; my co-workers are like family and I just love going into my office...although my job can be FRUSTRATING the majority of the time...I feel more at home at work then I do not at work. If that even makes sense at all.....

xoxo,
-Nat
