Not a silly question at all.

If we have one that can sunburn, we make sure that they have sun block or a T-shirt on. The black and tan patterns don't seem to burn as bed. In the winter, we make sure they are kept warm with clothes and accses to heaters. IMO.. they should be house dogs, but, I feel that way about all my dogs..lol
