Earlier today I saw a sight I've been longing to see.... 

Sassy was laying in the hallway and Punkin was standing over her licking her face...      I didn't get a pic cos I was in the bathroom at the time....   Ya'll know how that is,   theres always a crowd in the bathroom with us....

I just thought it was sweet....  first time I've seen them do that...     it would have been while I was in the bathroom...

Awwww, how sweet, Jan!  Those girls are just too cute together!

Isn't that a great feeling?  I'm glad you got to witness it!  Maybe next time you'll catch it on camera.

It's so funny... because it seems so common for ratties to sleep/snuggle up together... and I had hopes that my 2 girls would do that... even though Lucy is a JRT. Nope... Lucy loves Holly... and Holly loves Lucy... but if Holly gets closer that a few inches from Lucy when she is sleeping, or just on our lap... Lucy does that....  "Mom... she's touching me thing, like kids do!!"   They will both sort of rub up against each other (kind of like cats)  and will play and just have big fun together... but that "Lovey Dovey" stuff,  like snuggling... is just not in the cards!   I notice that they are always much closer again when any foster dog(s) we've had leaves. If any of the foster dogs are willing... Holly will end up at least trying to be a snuggle buddy with them on the couch... and Lucy is a super human snuggle buddy... but I guess it's no dogs allowed!
