Donna just called me and wanted to let everyone know that he made it through last night's surgery. The latest setback is that fluids are draining throughout all of his organs. But he's still stable. The soonest now they will be able to close him up is not until Tuesday. He's being kept heavily sedated.

Remi is doing great and is getting a bath today.

Donna said she's exhausted...but said that she can feel all of our prayers.

Thanks, Nat.  I just got home from church and was hoping that someone had heard from her after Josh's surgery.  Still praying hard for him.

Thanks so much for the update and thanks again to Nat and to Pam W. for taking the time to call me at the lake and let me know how he was. I have no access to the internet there. I'm still praying that he continues to do better each day and is able to go home soon.

Just hung up the phone from talking to Donna.  Josh is still very swollen and has a lot of tubes and meds going in him.  He's still heavily sedated.  Good news is that his blood pressure which was low, and his heart rate which was high have both stabilized, and the Drs are telling her that his "numbers" all look good.  She said that the nurses keep promising her that his swelling WILL go down.  Donna is so tired and frustrated that she said she finds herself having little fits of 'road rage' every time she has to drive anywhere---it makes her mad if someone doesnt use their turn signals!    I think that's quite understandable, considering everything she has gone through and is still going through, watching all this happening to her baby boy.  She asked me to tell everyone that she says "HI" and she is so thankful for all the prayers that everyone is keeping up for them.

Thanks to ALL of you that have posted the updates on Josh & Donna these past weeks. I haven't had much time to post many replies while Blitzen was here (he was ALL puppy....  and had a special fondness for my computer & electrical cords  )  but have been reading the updates on Josh everyday. My heart just aches for Josh, Donna & family.. and my thoughts and prayers are always with them. I'm so glad that there is much more "good news" at this point.  I know that when an illness is rare enough it can take quite a long time to get to the bottom of things. I hope and pray that now that his doctors know what is going on that he will be able to get the care he needs, and will be at home before long!

Thank you for Sundays update. It sounds like this is a difficult time with the tubes and waiting for all the swelling to go down. I hope Donna and Josh can just hang in there for this difficult recovery. If the doctors say the numbers look good and vitals are good, that is such a great sign. I pray that everything continues to go smoothly and he can recovery quickly.
