Wanted to jump on and let all ya'll know that even though my posting has dwindled to almost nothing, Amos is just fine.

Due to some family medical problems(granny broke her hip and had to be admitted to a nursing home), husbands medical problems, my working full time, and I took a short vacation to FL, my internet time has been extremely limited.  I've been able to get on and read a few posts but hardly enough to keep up with this active board.

I can't believe that on next thurs(21st), Amos will be 16 weeks old(4 months!).  It just doesn't seem like I've had him that long.  He's growing(and growing, and growing...lol) Probably around 11lbs now.  When he sits in my lap, he hangs over on both sides.  His legs are long and he is sooooo gangly and clumsy.  He plays hard almost all day.(and has destroyed another camera cable!)  He is tall enough that he can reach up on my computer desk and pull things off so I have to be careful where I leave things.  He has chased his 1st rabbit!  That was hilarious! Wish I had caught it on video.  He's doing pretty good with "Fetch" and "Sit" and we are working on "Stay" and him not using his puppy teeth on US!(Sharp as briars).

The most important thing, is that my husband now has a buddy.  Hubby is disabled due to a back injury.  He is stuck home all day long with only the TV and our parrots as company.  Now he has Amos.  Initially, he didn't do much with Amos, but Amos now DEMANDS to be played with.  lol  Many times, I've seen my husband sitting on the floor playing fetch with Amos.  This is just awesome!  I need to get a good book on puppy obedience training for him.  He's the one who is home all day with the puppy and could be the most consistent with proper training.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The board has been so active that I know I have missed much of what is going on.  I keep all of you in my prayers as I know that there is much going on.  God knows all the needs and issues, so I just cover you all with prayer.

Love this board!

Hey, Kim and Amos!  I've been MIA too and I'm so far behind on posts.  I'm so glad to hear that Amos is growing and doing so well.

Kim-Sounds like you've had so much going on, glad you had a chance to jump in and update us on how Amos is doing. I'm so glad he's doing better and he's healthy. It also sounds like a good fit with your hubby bonding with Amos and they can keep each other company. I hope things settle down and you can visit more often.

Kim, so glad you had a chance to get on and update us on our miracle pup, Amos! It's great that your husband has become so fond of him, they have a way of working themselves into these guys hearts - KS has done the same with her daddy. So good to hear from you and don't worry, I don't think any of us can completely keep up with this forum - you are right, it's very active!
