Today Charles had a playdate with his best buddy Ben.  It was the first time Wolf had met another little boy.  He barked at Ben for quite a while, no matter how much we assured him Ben was a good guy.  After an hour or so of following the boys around the house and joining in on their games, the two warmed up to each other.  He even had a popsicle with them.  Then, the boys ran outside to play and left little Wolf in the house.  What a sad, sad puppy.  At first he barked and jumped at the door hoping they'd come back.  (I had my hands full or raw chicken at the time)  When that didn't work, he sat down and cried.

After my hands were clean, I opened the door for him.  He stood there for a sec looking around.  When one of the boys called his name, he flew off the porch and joined them.  He was absolutely joyous.

He was just like a little brother who gets left behind by the big boys.  After Ben left, they both got a big drink of water and plopped down on the couch to watch cartoons.
