I am not too good at them but I will give it my best shot. I am sure some of the more creative people will make suggestions in the morning!
I like the Trinna Rinna Roo why mess with a great name!!
Sir Taylor Mister Boo Boo Boy or Little Boy Taylor Boo!
Little Miss Abby Bug on the Run.
I know a little lame but I am tired and need to go to bed!!! I will think of better ones.
I will have to look at some of their pictures for inspiration tommorow!

Why do their names have to be different? Just curious, is it common that dogs have to have a stage name.

I am not on the ball today, so my creative cap is not on, but if I do regain my senses I will send you my ideas.

Let's see:

If a dog had excessive flatulence, he could be named Sir _________ Windsong the III

Trinity Terrier Belle of the South, or North.

Taylor Trouble on the Run

Of course, with Pepper's talelnt for destroying funiture it would be Pepper Sofa Slayer the last

I never knew what I was missing until Pepper was literally dropped in my lap.....Life is good.

Just to chime in, if you notice in the dog shows, many of these dogs have names that don't have anything to do with their everyday names. Naming protocol includes using the breeder's kennel name.

All the AKC dogs I've had were named with the kennel name first (Mistybank, Shadow Run, Conary, etc)

Look at the dog's parents registered names, many times there can be clues to lead you to a registration name. Or even something about their personality.

Pokey is UKC registered, and her name is Conary's Here Comes Trouble...

They don't HAVE to be different than their regular names, no.. but they have to be unique names for AKC so they can put them in the registry. I always like it when people have clever ones, so I want them for my kiddos.

Yes, often they have the kennel name or the breeder/handler's last name as the first part of the name.

For example - here are some of the names of my friends' dogs (the quotes are what my friends call their dogs every day):

LeDyno Star's Treasu(RED) Ruby - "Ruby" (3yo black lab)
Aspen's Wynter Wizard - "Sophie" (8yo blue merle smooth-coat collie - she looks like a blizzard! Gorgeous dog)
Briallen's Black Pearl - "Luna" (3yo black tri smooth-coat collie)
To Infinity and Beyond - "Finn" (3yo rescued border collie - hence no kennel name)

Some random AKC names from the web:

Lockeye Maximum Recoil - "Bungee"
Hidden Acres Packin Heat - "Gunner"
Hillcrest Sweet Intoxication - "Zima"

etc, etc... so that's the sort of thing I'm looking for.. I may just leave Trin's as Trinna Rinna Roo.. we'll see. I'm making a decision on hers tomorrow. ;P

That's soooo tough!!! Copper's is Cal Val Cops N' Robbers, but she was alllllllmost Cal Val Lucky Copper Penny. Nickel is Stoneybay's Taffy Apple Martini, her whole little is martini names. She came to us at 7months as Taffy but my husband did not particularly like Taffy, so Nickel she became.

For Abby, she could be something to do with Dear Abby or Abracadabra

For Taylor...I'll have to think on him!!!! Good Luck!!!!!!!

Ok... here's what we've got so far..

Trinity - either "Trinna-Rinna-Roo" or "Third Time's a Charm" I actually rather like the latter.

Taylor - TaylorMade somethingorother "TaylorMade for fun" "TaylorMade for Trouble" etc.... I joked with the BF about naming him "Got Milk?" 'cause he looks like a little cow. That one got a *headdesk* reaction. I wonder why.... o.o

Abby - "Absolutely Awesome Abigail" or the "Dear Abby" suggestion I liked, but I'd have to come up with something more for it.... "Dear Abby - I rescued this stray dog..." >< lol I don't know. ;P
