Charlie is such a picky eater when it comes to treat! The only ones he goes crazy for are those freeze dryed liver treats. But those are not very good for training since they are so rich.
We have tried a ton of others and he wont touch them , like milkbones, any kind of biscuit, cheese, anything with peanut butter, these Yogurt o's petsmart reccomended and a bunch more I dont remember!!!
Any one have any ideas of some other treats? |

| For training treats I like to use plain 'ol Cheerios. They are dry, fit into my pocket and are small. And cheap. |

I use the Natural Balance food roll. You cut them up and they just love them. http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/dogformulas/DFRolls.html |

I've used those Natural Balance food rolls, too. But my dogs love it when I buy calf liver or chicken liver and cook it, then I can just take a pr of scissors and cut it into little tiny squares, and keep it in a ziplock baggie in the fridge. I sometimes put just a pinch of garlic powder (not garlic salt) on the liver while it's boiling---the dogs think it's "gourmet" stuff! |

| Now that I think about it I did get one of those Natural Balace rolls when he was younger and he loved them so it will go get another one of those. Do those need to be refridgerated? |

They aren't refrigerated when you buy them, so I didnt worry about it until I opened it---then I slid the whole thing into a ziplock baggie and kept it in the door of the fridge---just because I get paranoid about stuff going bad when it sits out.
***Their website says it does NOT need to be refrigerated.

| I chop it all up right when I get it. Freeze half and keep the rest in the fridge. I have had it go moldy once and try to avoid that at all costs. |

Max likes his new Innova health bars ( cut up in little pieces) YUMMY!
Innova HealthBars Dog Treats provide not only a tasty reward, but also a nutrient-packed daily supplement. Just like Innova Dog Foods, we've used fresh, whole ingredients from the five food groups: meat, dairy, fruit, grain and vegetables, to provide a treat with a healthy difference you and your dog can appreciate.
Innova HealthBars are oven baked at low temperatures to conserve the valuable nutrients of the fresh ingredients and to maintain the flavor and uniformity of the biscuit. They are then packed immediately to lock-in the goodness so that they arrive as fresh in your home as the day they were made. No other treats are made this fresh or this healthy. |

Bella likes those 100% Chicken Breast treats. You can buy chicken strips or chicken 'chips' (small circle shaped pieces which are better for training). You can get them at PetsMart. |

| like mary beth said, cereal is always good. Mine love all of those healthy cereals that i buy and never finish, lol. mine also like yogurt drops. You can get them in an orange bag at petsmart and they come in vanilla and chocolate flavor. They are vitamin enhanced supposedly. I tried one and they actually taste pretty good. I know, i'm weird! |

Wolf loves cherry tomatoes and baby bunny carrots, but he's an odd one. He also loves Bil-Jac treats, and they are good quality. The Bil-Jac company gets all its chicken from the Pilgrim's Pride plant in the same town and has used the same grower for grains for several decades. Nothing comes from out of the country., and they've never had to have a recall.
Oops. Sorry. I sound like a commercial. |
