Today was the Pecan Festival in Clyde America!  My husband and I decided to go and we decided to take Bailey with us.  First we went to the car show and then out to the festival it self under the pecan trees.  She was such a sweet girl.  She greeted everyone and was especially affectionate with the kids.  Of course, she really enjoyed all the food that was being prepared.  That nose stayed high in the air.

Following that adventure and a nap, we decided to go to the ranch and she went with us.  We saw two armadillos, two skunks, a raccoon and lots of deer.  We were in an open jeep and she so wanted to get down and investigate the armadillos and the skunk.    We are very careful with her at the ranch and won't let her get down unless she is on a short leash.  There are lots of rattlesnakes.  She cried and she wimpered and she barked and then she would shake.  She wanted down so badly.  The armadillos and one of the skunks were not 3 feet from the jeep.  The armadillos didn't pay her any mind but the skunk decided it would hide in an old log until we left.

She is now sound asleep on the couch.   She is a very tired girl.

Isn't it great to share a fun day like that with the pups?

One of the neat things taking her to the car show...several people came up and asked if that was a Rat Terrier. They would get the biggest grin on their face and say, "I had a dog like that growing up." Then they would tell us all about their dog and how smart they were...which we already knew!
