I started 2-1/2 wks ago. Lost 5.2 pounds and got my first star. But after this weekend I may have to give my star back! I did great that first 2 weeks with counting my points and exercising. But it is hard this week for some reason. I did ok today and I am trying to get motivated to exercise right this minute as Im typing this. Its hard for me to get the time to do it and my hubby tells me to not worry about anything else and take the time for myself. I work all day, come home, make dinner, take care of the kids. My hubby helps when he can, but with the landscaping business he's very busy all week and most weekends. So the dishes are in the sink and the laundry is in the laundry room....my 7 year old needs bathed and put to bed soon. I need a maid. Actually I need to get organized!!! But it is frustrating!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I know it all sounds like lame excuses. But what about my RT.COM time!!! I always find time for that! LOL |

i went to LA weight loss, and i did lose around 40 pounds. but gained almost all of it back... *sigh* i need to lose weight again.... i wanna fit into that sexy black jeans again...lol so i need to cut carbs and sugar out of my diet... and drink alot of water, eat more veggies and fruit and meat... i just need to make myself to do it.
it's hard.... but of course it takes time to take it off as it did to put it on... wanna share secrets? i still have the stuff from LA weight loss....

I've done weight watchers. Succeeded in reaching my first goal weight by using the point system. The whole idea was to lose the weight and bring down my glucose and cholesterol. Even with the weight loss, I still had high glucose and seriously high cholesterol and triglycerides. Had to go on Atkins. That diet was hard to keep; plus I was exercising on the tread mill, walking, going to the gym. Lost 35 pounds. My cholesterol went from 245 to 178. My glucose went from 350 mg/dL to 95. Then I tore a thigh muscle. The rebound was a disaster. I gained back the 35 pounds plus 15 more. everything else popped back up too. Morals of the story - not everything works for everyone. Losing weight is hard but necessary. Don't overdo things to the point where you injure yourself physically or mentally - if you do you won't be able to continue losing weight anyway. |

| I hate feeling hungry. And I am a bordome snacker. Which is a terrible habit. And I love chocolate. Heck I love everything. Hate exercising, but if I dont over think it and just do it I feel good afterward. what I like about weightwatchers is you can eat what ever food you want (basicly) you just have to stay within your alloted points and try to eat healier foods, less fat ect. *sigh* life changes are never easy! Im dreading my weight in this week (wednesday)! Wish me luck!! |

i need to lose weight for health reason too.... I am short so my fat shows up more than taller people...
Since heart diseases runs in the family, i knew i had to take care of myself.... and before i lost the weight. my cholesterol was at high risk... and my blood pressure is a little high.... not too much, and you could tell the difference in my bp when i lost the weight...
both of my grandparents didn't live long.... my g-pa died when he was 69 yrs. old, and he had 4 heart surgies...my g-ma lived to be 72.... something was wrong with her liver.... and needed liver transplant to live, but didn't make it that far.
then my biological grandmother was in her late 70's..... and my biological grandfather has already passed before i found my bio. g-ma.... and i guess that my bio g-father didn't really take good care of himself....
So with that history.... i must take better care of myself..... at the same time.... i want to enjoy food!!! lol especially comfort food...

I've been on Weight Watchers in the past...I quit this spring after my car accident. I have a car payment now, so I can't afford to go to the meetings. the most I ever lost on WW was 19 lbs, then it plateaued and life got in the way and the weight came back and brought along a few extra "friends." the whole purpose for the points system is that the healthier foods you eat, the more you can have during the day, and you won't be hungry at all during the day. you know, house work can be considered part of your exercise for the week...my meeting leader said so more than a few times...just saying. |

| I've been doing WW half-heartedly since the end of June. I've lost a little over 6 pounds. But it is my own fault for not following the program tighter. It will work if you just work at it. |

Awesome Teresa, congrats!! I did WW a few years ago and lost 70 lbs. Of course, I've gained it back, cuz that's the pattern I've had my entire life... lose 20 gain 30.... lose 40 gain 50.... it's a vicious cycle for me.
I wish you the best of luck and DON'T GIVE UP!! |

I went on it in April and have lost 30 lbs so far. I am not actively doing it right now, but as long as you choose healthy food options and exercise portion control, it's not absolutely imperative that you use the WW program. Do what is best for you, and yes, housework (laundry, etc) all counts as exercise, so just put the music really loud and get your 7 y/o dancing with you to do it. Good luck and great job! |

| We need to create: The Rattie Plan! Eat whatever you want, but you have to run with your rattie while they're doing the rattie 500 - every time they do the rattie 500. You'll either lose weight or die. |
