In fact the vast majority of the facts in the list are false. There have been a number of such lists over the years. Unfortunately it becomes impossible to find any exact list on Snopes these days because of the variants. Since I neither have the time nor the patience to look up each of the above, I'll just point out a few: The origin of the word Golf is disputed, some saying it comes from the Dutch word kolf (a type of club), some from the Scots word goulf or gouf meaning to strike or cuff. There is utterly no evidence for Gentlemen only, Ladies Forbidden. The list of the four kings in the deck is also false. Coke has never been green except when people add green dye to it on St. Patricks Day or for some other reason; the original recipe included caramel to add the rich brown color. Some of the above are true. If you want the full list of which above are true and which false, you have about 2 hours work ahead of you.

LOL I was noting the same kind of things danbenau...
I think it's a list with enough truth in it that most people would go "I've heard that one before... I know it's true... I guess the rest of these are true too"...

I know windshield wipers, at least, were inventd by a woman. She was using them at home and one day she was riding on a train that had to keep stopping to clear ice of the window so she went up to the front and showed them how to do what she did at home... and got famous and hopefully for her, rich.
