Murry sleeps about 22 hours a day...I wake him up about 1 in the afternoon to take out to go potty..he grunts and snorts unhappily but he needs to go even if he does have a bladder of steal...anyways we come back in and right back into the bed he goes till dinner time then he eats potties does the rattie 500 plays fetch for about an hour then jumps in my lap and goes to sleep....then snorts at me when I get up to get ready for bed..because of course he must curl up in my tummy.....he is really lazy...he doesn't really even bark..is this common or just Murrys personality?
Sorry I tend to run on and on |

| Lets put it this way, I wish Ivy had a day like that/ She gets up at 6:30 am potty breakfast rattie 500, little nap depends on if we are at work it is till 1:00 then potty and run run run usually till 8-9 at night and then we do it all over again the next day. Course she is only 6 months old but she has energy for herself and for Murry! If I could some how bottle it and sell it I would be rich! |

Bailey is FAR from lazy... his activity level wears me out. But in the evenings he does have an "off switch" and is content to cuddle. Maybe Murry isn't getting enough exercise? Dogs tend to conform to our lifestyles. If you don't exercise and you don't exercise the dog... then over time many dogs become very content to life YOUR lifestyle. Not saying that's the case with you.. just saying it happens. |

| my two are kind of opposites. pumpkin has always enjoyed sleep more than anything else. sometimes we have to drag her out of bed in the morning just to go potty. she doesn't run too much at the dog park either, especially when its hot. amlet has more energy and enjoys walking more. both are slim too and i free feed both. i actually used to worry about pumpkin being too thin, but she probably just has a high metabolism. |

| I have always been active Murry is my first small dog...I have had dobermans at the age of 14 and 16 that were more active than Murry...maybe it was the life he had before I rescued him that makes him want to just enjoy life |

| I think Sophie's a good mix. She's not necessarily sleeping all that much (though she does sleep a good deal-- we think from the way she reacted to the yard the first time she was an apartment dog before we got her) but she's also not "running the rattie 500". She spends much of her day playing with toys or other fairly stationary but not comatose occupations. |

| Mine have their moments. They are either at full speed or zonked out. Whatever they are doing, its always at the same time though. They usually run the rattie 500 after morning potty and feeding and then get crated until around 3 or 5 depending on my schedule, then they go out, go for a run with me, zonk out and then rattie 500 again for a while and generally harrass each other. But if Ricky or I are being lazy on our off days, those dogs are curled up sleeping and lounging right next to us. |

my ratties are like Maggies...they are either sleeping or running the Rattie 500. They always get up around 6-6:30 to go potty, and then they will either go back to bed for another hour (if it's cold out) or run the first Rattie 500 of the day. I work at home, so they will either be inside in bed or outside sunbathing. they have a set naptime at 1 pm...no matter what's going on, you can find them in bed at that time. they get up for an hour or so, and then it's back to bed for their afternoon nap...when they wake up, it's time for another Rattie 500 before dinner (they gotta work up an appetite, you know ). after they eat, yet another Rattie 500...the only one that Rosie will join in on...and a major bitey face game involving all 3 dogs. Lucy usually finds her beloved stuffed piggy and has me throw it for her about a hundred times...then they crash until bedtime. |
