I talked to Jan a little while ago and she was on the road. She's taking care of some family visits today when she gets here and then she will come to my house tomorrow to get Lightning. Stay tuned tomorrow for photos! I gotta go get some extra loving in...all my babies are leaving! |

| How long will it take Jan to get to Atlanta? I will so be looking for some pics. I'm sorry our visit was so very short. I have never driven that far alone before, I have always had someone with me. My eyesight isn't what it used to be and I think it is time for another visit to the eye doc. I wish I had had more time to visit and talk instead of being so wiped out from the drive. I know Jan will be as happy and in love with Lightning as I am with Nala Belle. Lots of pics, I wish I had taken some myself. Dummy me. Give the remaining pups and Tinkerbelle a kiss from me and Nala. |

ightning is the birth name. Jan is still working on a name for him (I think...unless I missed the decision) hehe

| I know Lightening a.k.a. Beauregard will have a great life in Kentucky. To answer someone else's quesiton, she said they were going to meet him before deciding on a name but I believe Beauregard wa sin the running. |

Not decided yet. While we wre at the JRT Trials, I ran into Sydeny's mom's breeder. She kept Sydney's sister and is breeding her this next year-- said if I wanted to wait until April or May I could have a look at her pups. It would be kind of like getting Sydeny's neice right??? But those breeders in Chetek also have cute pups!!!! |

That would cute/great if you'd get one of Sydney's nieces or nephews. At one point, all my dogs were related...I had Buddy and his half brother Fritz (same mama, different litter), Buddy's dad, Nak (mxed breed...we'll never know for sure what he was), and Buddy's and Fritz's great-niece Rosie (grandpa is from Fritz's litter).  it was cool to see the "family" traits in the line...the full dobies had pretty much the same personalities, but Buddy and Nak were the most alike overall. Rosie is the only one I have left of the "family." I miss the others, but if I still had them, I wouldn't have been able to get my ratties... |

| Aw, it's so cool that we get to see these families extend over rattie land.... it's obvious to me that Sophie was bred, not an accident (she's got her tail docked and rear dewclaws removed, for one). And it makes me wonder if her breeders are out here in rattie land somewhere... she's gone through at least three human families, not counting her breeders unless they were family one (which I hope not because they dumped her at the human society becuase they didn't have 'time' for her). But anyway, because of that, it makes me wonder if maybe she has relatives out there... after all we're in SC and there are so many of you in NC and GA and it wouldn't be surprising at all if she was bred there... sigh... but I'll never know! |

Jan has Lightning now. She will probably post something later tonight. She's staying with her sister, so Lightning won't meet Dixie and KS till tomorrow when she drives back to Kentucky. I took a few pics. I'll go ahead and post on the photo thread because I'm pretty sure she'll be busy with the new little man in her life! |
