I like this game today. Thought I'd take a turn....

What do you call the thing that the water comes out of at the sink?

Here we say "spicket" (sounds just like ticket) only we spell it correctly as s-p-i-g-o-t.   LOL!!!!

So do you call it a spigot, tap, faucet, what????

OMG this is so funny! Something you never think about ya know? We have faucets here in Maine. A little side story. A friend of mine is from Ireland. We were at her house once when Kailey was about 4. She asked Kailey to go into the cupboard to get something for her. We were in a bedroom. No cupboards. Not in Kailey's mind anyway. I quietly explained to Kailey that Claire was referring to the closet.

Oh, yes. Cupboards are in the kitchen and store food stuff and/or dishes, etc., anything with clothes in it is a closet.

Mardi: Maybe it's a Pittsburgh/West Virginia thing? We speak more "Pittsburgh-ese" here.

In my house everything's a thingy, cos I never can say the right thing if I am trying to say it in a hurry. Get it outta the thingy. Otherwise its a faucet. The Spicket is outside

How about those things that fly around at the lights, like nighttime butterflies?
I call them Millers, my mom calls them Moths.
