| this brings back soooo many bad memorie sof that morning, that day, that night and sooo many after that! I lived 20 mins from manhattan... you could see the smoke from my house... my brother was there... luckily he was on the "path" train to jersey 2 minutes before the 1st plane hit... 2nd plan hit as he exited the train station on the jersey side... after 7 years its a memory that you often never reflect on... and then you see/watchs omething about it and its lilke it was yesterday all over again... but... life doe stsill go on. |

| We had returned from a 3-week cruise of the Baltic on Sept. 9. I was on my way to work when they announced the first crash, I was just topping the rise on 422 that brought the cooling towers of the Limerick nuclear plant when they announced the second and we knew that it was an attack rather than an accident. Then the helicopters started circling Limerick to protect it. What a horrible day. The only thing that offends me is that a pack of lunatics consider this act to have been a moral victory. |

I cant believe that it will be 7 years on thurs that this happened. I was over at my parents house and me and my mom were watching tv when it all happened. I actually thought it was some kind of movie at first.. then after I went through all the other channels on the tv and every single channel was showing the planes going into the twin towers I realized it was for real.

| DONT be mad goth girl you know it still breaks my heart to this day of what happened, it is very very very sad,.can you imagine what was going through peoples minds at that time? lives lost in the twin towers lives lost in the airplanes. moms,dads, sons daughters grandparents aunts uncles everyone, firefighters lost their lives trying to save all these lives and couldnt but yet they lost their life instead!!!! these are the hereos we need to honor and respect!!!! men an women alike!!!!! |

I'm not mad. I'm kinda use to people ignoring stuff that I post. LOL! But something like this should not be ignored. A lot of people lost their lives on that day. Not just in NY but at the pentagon and in a feild near Pennsylvania where Flight 93 crashed after some of the passengers attempted to take over the plane from the hijackers.

| I have not ignored it I just had to pick the right time to watch because it is so important. I did not want to watch it in a rush or get interrupted. I had to wait till I knew I had time for it. |

It's all blank for me, I can't see any of the videos or pictures. I don't think I need to remember the friends I lost on this thread though. I think everyone mourns their own way so if people don't post or respond to you maybe 1) like me they can't see any pics or video or 2) they mourn or remember their own way not here on this thread. |

I don't think any assumptions should be drawn from the lack of replies to this thread. Many people, myself included, keep their feelings about 9-11 close to their hearts and the emotions and heartache from that day's happenings is a very private matter for some people.
Personally, I haven't (and won't) watch the videos. I can close my eyes and instantly recall every single moment from that day, and it causes me great pain to do so. I resent the implication that a lack of response on my part should be construed as ignoring it, and thus all the people that died that day, as if they didn't matter. Nothing could be further from the truth. |

| I too will never forget that day and trying to comfort a co-worker whose daughter lived in NYC at the time, whom she couldn't contact for several hours so she didn't know if she was dead or alive. I don't need a thread on an Internet forum to remind me or someone to judge me if I don't respond quickly enough to suit them. |

Not everyone responds to my posts...I don't expect them to and certainly don't get upset if they don't. Put your big girl panties on and get over it, ok? Maybe I should go through all my threads and see how many you've responded to? It simply doesn't matter. I'm 'not trying to be rude, just would prefer that the complaints stop.
I cannot and won't forget what happened on 9/11.. and when I think about it and remember it, my heart hurts. But I don't come to rt.com to be reminded of that.

people do cope in different ways... and dont just look at replies... you can bump this thread to keep it in our eyes... it has been viewed over 130x...
