As most of you know, my sister's and my Mom and I don't really talk, and I really don't have a lot of girlfriends here.  It really shows in what I wear...I really do look like a tomboy...more so now that I've gained some weight and don't know how to dress my body.  Well, I have these two girls with whom, I've actually been friends with their hubby's FOREVER (one is the widow of my friend that was killed in Jan), I have been trying to get to know them a little better lately.  I am even going on a girls night out with them this weekend.  They ALWAYS look perfectly put together and gorgeous, so I was getting a little anxious about going out with them.  I have been talking to them and they are going to take me on as thier own personal "what not to wear" project!  They are going to go shopping with me to help me find something to wear to the GNO and to a wedding I have to attend the following weekend.  They are even gonna tell my hairdress what I need to do to my hair and everything!  I am so flippin' excited.  I REALLY wanna look like the rest of the women that I am around, I am TIRED of looking like a tomboy!  I am just fashion stupid and can't do it on my own!  I will be posting updates and pics as we go through my "transformation"!!

wow...that sounds so fun!! heheh...i love that kind of girly stuff! ive done makeovers on my friends before (not that im something great myself...but im kinda girly and I LOVE makeup!!!)

That is so sweet.  Those pics are FEW and FAR between.  I can do OK when I try, but not really great.  These two girls LIVE for fashion!! LOL!!  They are as excited, if not more so, than I am!  I have some really bad body image issues.  I don't like the way ANYTHING looks on me, so to have someone that I trust in that aspect to help me, will make a HUGE difference.  They think I should get a short sassy haircut.....hmm...gotta think on that one!

Yep, that's SOOO me.  Part of the reason that I really NEED to upgrade my clothes is that I am now the head of our Office AND I am on the counter with customer's more.  (granted it's a plumbing supply store, I STILL need to look good...might even help with counter sales...LOL) I feel like if I am someone's boss, I should really look the part.  The girl that is under me dresses very casual as well, but she's NOT someone's boss.

LOL!  I AM thinking about it.  I've had short hair before and I liked it at the time, then I looked back at the pics and thought..what the heck was I thinking!  I think it's just a matter of getting the RIGHT short cut.

LOL!! I hear ya!! I am so that girl...but I am also the girl that REALLY wants to look good, just doesn't know how.  There HAS to be a middle ground!!

I did that for 6yrs and I think that was a BIG part of my problem!!  I was just so used to being able to dress however....even in sweats!!

I have short, sassy, spikey hair.  I love it.  It is so easy to take care of. You should go for it.  It will always grow out if you don't like it.  Have you thought about a different hair color?  I went from red to a dark coffee brown and I love it.

Brandy, I SO know how you feel! Back in the day I knew what to do with makeup, hair and clothes. Now.....not a clue. So I always opt for jeans and a tee. Also like you I have put on some pounds so NONE of my clothes were fitting right. Ugh. SO depressing. It's funny, just this morning while I was blowing out my hair I was thinking I should get it chopped Wednesday while Jenna is at school. Hmmm....maybe. I bought two new pairs of jeans and three cute tees and on SUPER cute jacket Friday. It fellt really good. Sucked that I had to go up a size in all of it but.....oh well. Oh yeah, I also have no close girlfriends either. Being a stay at home Mom has killed my social life. The new gym that Kailey is cheering at is SWARMING with Moms so......maybe. Have fun!
