As of this morning it looks as if she's gonna make Landfall in Wilmington. Cheryl, I hope that you are getting prepared and have somewhere safe to go if you need to!!! I still have family in Wilmington, but I haven't heard from them yet. I guess we are gonna spend this afternoon getting everything put in the garage and secured down. I have a feeling it's gonna be a LONG night tommorow and a LONG day Saturday. My kids are terrified of storms, so I will have them attached to me at the hip until this all passes. Poor Sampson's not much better, he sits in his kennel and whines the entire time we are having a storm.
Ike looks like bad news too!

| Yep looks like Wilmington and the Outer Banks are in for a good blow. I hope she will just fall apart before she gets there and that my Mom stays in Salisbury instead of going to the beach for fishing season at least until this is over. Ike looks like he may be aiming for Florida as if we need any more rain after the flooding caused by Fay. Everyone in the path of these storms know that we are thinking and praying for you all. Stay safe and stay dry. |

This time of year I pray for everyone! Hurricanes suck. At least we get a little notice, and can prepare for it. I hope everyone stays safe, and Hanna, Ike and the rest, I think Josephine is next in line....Stay away from the States. Hopefully they will just go out to sea, and blow away...... |

Yep, we are getting packed up and stocked up. As always we hope it doesn't cause a lot of damage. We will be watching the track of this one and the one behind it.
It sounds like Hanna will be moving through fast which is about the only good thing I've heard.
Today is the day to get outside furniture into the garage or lashed down, last minute shoping done, etc. |

| It has been such a beautiful day here, but everyone is at the stores getting last minute supplies and adding to their water stash etc. It is looking like Hanna may be downgrading and may not do landfall at Wilmington but higher up. Either way, it is good to be prepared and with Ike right behind Hanna, I went ahead and got enough for next week too, if we need it. |

Well I hope for those in NC, though I feel a twinge of guilt because I was glad it switched from going to the shore of SC to NC, because otherwise my sister would have to be evacuated...
But then again, it looks like Ike is heading for SC, last I heard...

These storms are terrible and I too hate this season!!! We just ran from Gustav but it turned out to be not the storm that it was predicted to be. Thank goodness because the eye passed right over my house. I would hate to think what would have happened if it hit as predicted. Well I hope that Hanna does not cause to much damage. The preparations are a must because you just never know what the heck they are going to do until last minute. I hope you all stay safe and come out of this well. We were so luck to fair so well. I still have family members living with me due to damage at their houses. It is looking like they will be here for a while but we are making things work.
Good luck to you, I most certainly understand all the fuss and muss that goes along with these storms. |

hey we are here on vacation in Rodanthe NC outerbanks. The news says that we will have 30-45 mile per hour wind and alot of rain. We are planing to stay through the storm. We are going to leave Sunday. I really dont want to have to leave early. I hope everyone stays safe  |
