this morning I was out with my mom and I felt a tap on my shoulder, as I was turning around, a woman was asking where my daughter was...I don't have any kids, and I really didn't know this woman all to well (she's married to someone I've known my entire life though).  She thought I was someone else, obviously.  BUT she further stuck her foot in her mouth by asking if my mom was my GRANDMOTHER!!   Okay, my mom was 35 when I was born, but seriously?!  Either I look really young for my age, or my mom looks really old...

Apparently, her hubby told her "you know Jeff? well that's his mom and sister."  so she had to come back and apologize profusely (again), and said that she is always sticking her foot in her mouth...she's the type to walk up to a woman and put her hands on her stomach and ask "how far along are you?" when the woman isn't even pregnant.

How do you deal with this type of person?

One of my hard and fast rules in life these days: If you're in a situation where you have come up with the cleverest come back to a dumb question, swallow it, smile slightly, and walk away. It's just never worth it.

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK!

I'm surprised no one has hit her yet.
