Just wanted to post and say hello to everyone. Ollie is 12 weeks old today and we are six weeks into house breaking with not much progress being made...I am trying to keep my wits about me LOL. Anyway....

Oh yeah..OMG...literally we woke up Saturday morning and his ears were standing instead of being folded...literally overnight LOL

Welcome to the site! Be careful, this place is addicting!!! LOL. So Ollie has rattie ears now huh? My Jacks ears never stood up, they stayed folded. Anyway, yes house training can be a chore. Are you trying to crate train him? In the training forum, if you havent been there yet is some really great advise on housebreaking a puppy. I suggest going there and doing some reading if you havent already. And if you have any questions there are many people on here who will also have great advise for you including our training moderator Nora when they sign back on. Also one requirement here is lots of pictures. Even though I havent posted any in a while, I love looking at everyone's ratties! Welcome to you and Ollie.

Welcome! And what a cute little guy!

Having house trained girls and boys (in the process with Ripley), I think boys are more difficult. Don't give up. That light will go on for him.

Love the ears! We are still in the "ear wars" stage at 4 months. When they do both stand up, my partner calls him "Jackalope"....so we have Jackalope the Ripper. I groan every time the kids call him that. :p

Welcome. When we first saw Hendryx at the SPCA, the card listed him as having "airplane ears." His ears aren't totally floppy, they stick out to the side until he needs to be extra alert. Then they go back.

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK!

I LOVE OLLIE! He is SOOOO cute. I think I think so because I've seen that same expression on Sophie's face every single day, but I think his coloring and those ears accentuate it. He's adorable!

Welcome! My rattie is Sophia Abigail, generally called Sophie. She's five years old, but I've only had her almost two months. She's got "floppy" ears, but they change a lot. They stick out a lot, like Hendrix's apparently (My mom calls her "Sister Bitrill" sometimes for the flying nun), but they'll stick up sometimes as well, though generally a little to the side, not "straight" up, except if they're up and then she gets alert... usually when she gets allert, they just come around to the front, still floppy, like they are doing in my avatar.
