in my building. I just got the email from the message board. Two people who live in my building saw this tiny mouse running around and slip under the door that have 1/2 inches opening. So now I am worried if the mouse will sneak under my door.

Daxter is home alone, just in case he catch this mouse which is great in one way, should I be worried that my dog will get rabies or any disease from a mouse? Do I need to do something after he catch the mouse to prevent him from getting any disease? I just wants to be prepare before this really happen so I know what to do when the time come.

I need some advice, I know some of your ratties has been catching a mouse before. Thanks!

If Daxter catches the mouse, he should get lots of praise and treats for doing what he was bred to do!!

And he'll be fine... mine seem to be killing birds lately... if Daxter has had a rabies shot, and is up to date on everything, he should be all set.

GO GET 'EM DAXTER!

I was so proud of Amos when he got his first mouse. He sure hunted it long enough. I bet that mouse will have better sense than to go in there where Daxter is. But if he does.......Go Gett 'im Daxter!

Nothing wrong with catching a mouse!
I live in the country and we have mice a lot... usually not a lot this time of year, but they are everywhere in the fall and winter when they start coming in to escape the cold and to find food... but there was one in the dining room the other day and Sophie was trying to get it... Tobi, the cat, ended up being the one to catch it, but good Sophie for trying!

Mice don't carry rabies, their body temperature is too high and their metabolism is too fast. In fact rats don't carry rabies either. Some of the bigger bats do.

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK!

There is a lepto virus, they can catch from getting rat pee in their mouth. That is what the lepto vaccine is for.
