http://www.ropengo.com/contact.php
is the website for RopeNGo harness. I have sent them some questions. This particular url will take you to their contact page. They have a gallery, a video or the harness and a lot of other information.
The harness looks comfy, very stylish and seems to be a nice fit with out causing any choking. I was just wondering if anyone had seen it or had any experience with it?
Thanks |

Hi Cheryl,
I don't know if anyone here on RT.com ordered one or not, but the inventors of the "RopeNGo" harness are the sister & mom of the woman that adopted Cali back in May of 2007 (now named Mange.) The dog (on the left) in the picture on the RopeNGo website is Mange (Cali) after she was adopted! The dog on the right is her other Rat Terrier Maco.
Here was a post made by Robin about it back in Oct. 2007 with a link to a website in Japan where the harnesses are really popular:
http://www.rat-terrier.com/Home/tabid/37/forumid/2/tpage/1/view/topic/postid/119858/Default.aspx#119858
The rope harnesses look really cool, my only questions would be how comfortable all the knots would feel?

Never heard of it or seen one....looks kinda cool though....I don't like all the knots on it though. There's a picture of one on a TOAD....Really? Please! Who wants to 'walk' a toad? |

I think that looks awesome! Why would the dog feel the knots? I may order one. We ordered Yaz a puppia but it doesn't fit right. Just like every other harness we have tried for her. |

| No comment about the harness, but I can never pass up an opportunity to be reminded about Cali (Mange). I will never forget her story - ever. It is one of the, if not the, most successful saves/turnarounds of a rattie in need on this site (and that's saying something, trust me). What Cali went through and looked like before, compared to where she is now, still brings tears to my eyes. |

Very cool looking harnesses...don't think the knots are in the part that goes around the dog's body so shouldn't be a problem.

The toad cracked me up too! I got a wonderful email back from them and they were very nice in answering my questions. Taffy is a little escape artist and I only feel comfortable (so far) having her in a Puppia vest Harness but I'm thinking if this works, it would be nice and cool and wow talk about colors!! The lady who emailed back said for me to try the size for Taffy and I had 30 days to test it. If she could escape, then I can just return it. And the fun part, she reminded me to test Taffy in an enclosed area where even if Taffy did escape she would still be safe. That made me feel good in that she is a thinking person who understands animals. So I may try it when next month's pay comes around. I'll let everyone know what I find out about it. Knots, toads and all!! LOL! |

I'm tempted to try it...Molly has backed out of her harness, but this looks like it's a little harder to get out of. But which color to get? I was MIA for awhile last fall, but is Cali the one who had the horrible case of mange and looked so completely miserable, red/raw skin and all? She looks like a totally different dog... |

I think you have to get the puppia harness online...my ratties are too big for them, so I've never used them. The spots on her skin are called ticking...just a rattie thing.

Hello everyone! I just happened into your little forum and thought I'd add my two cents to Cheryl's Rope-N-Go question...see as how I'm the one she spoke with (by the way your harness is on its way—can't wait for the results). We actually developed the Rope-N-Go for our two JRT's who hacked horribly on their collars. The fear of Tracheal Collapse led to our little invention. This was almost 12 years ago. We had never intended to make them for the public, but as it happened, friends and family with "test dogs" advised us to proceed. Actually the Rope-N-Go story is kind of interesting if anyone feels up to reading more about us at http://www.ropengo.com/about.php. And yes the toad is a bit absurd, but we had to test it on everything including our little toad friend...I personally think the chicken is stranger. So here we are today—another mother/daughter venture and it has sure been fun! Horse people are one thing, but dog lovers are an entirely different story. We have three JRT's who's health and comfort is a chief concern. Unlike a lot of harnesses on the market, the Rope-N-Go was developed to provide ultimate comfort for the dog. I would be more than happy to answer any questions at cybele@ropengo.com. BTW—My sister's dog Mange (ugg that name!) aka Cali, is doing fabulous! She is the most beautiful dog and has an incredibly sweet disposition. I recommended Silver Lining Herbs for dogs to her and they really helped her blossom, along with proper love and nutrition. Best, Cybele Rope-N-Go™ |
