the vet, where they violate him in oh so many ways!  The look on his face when thay take his temp is not something I will soon forget - "Hey. HEY!!!  No going in the out door!  Exit only!  EXIT ONLY!!!"  He needs to know car rides don't always mean incarseration or orafice violation.

Oh Mitch, Aka knows that feeling well. When he went to our vet the very first time, he was pretty okay with the doctor but when the doctor took his temp, Aka had this look of "okay, that's it, this relationship is over!" And when I took him off the table he looked at me as if to say, "Did you know they put that thing THERE?"

To this day he is leery of our vet and it breaks Dr. G's heart as he is a softie and really wants Aka to play with him!! But Aka isn't having any of that!!

Good idea to take him on some fun rides. I have been trying to do that with my two. Like Murphy most of the car trips are to the Barking Lot or vet. While they don't mind Barking Lot, the folks there spoil them rotten, it still means being away from home and that they do not like.

Sounds like the joy of a prostate exam...right fellas!

Last time I was sitting there waiting for my doc to come in for the joke filled event and in walks Lisa, the nurse practitioner!  Talk about awkward!!!

Could have done without the reminder Bill, thanks... At least you'd be sure with Lisa

I hope Murphy continues to improve and this was just a "passing" thing.

When I rushed Cameo in Friday before, she was feeling bad enough, but I just watched her little face when she got temperatured...kinda suck it in and bear it look.  My little weedie...

Poor Murph dog, I am so glad you are feeling better. Ratty said to tell you to stay outta the trash it makes for a major sick tummy. Cameo says get better quick and sends love and kisses to you, she says she doesn't know what trash can do since she's never been allowed to play in there, Mommy gets really mad if you try it. And I don' t like the water bottle! OOHH,COLD!!!
Get well and don't scare your Daddy like that anymore. It not nice.

So what do ya do, heh, Mitch, they're the babies gotta love em! Glad the scare is over, Ratty hates to ride no matter where you take him, the move from Miami to Palm Bay was a bit rough, he shook the whole way. Cameo however loves to ride and sleeps most of the time. Hope Murhpy doesn't do that to you again.

Mitch: Sorry to hear Murph was not well over the weekend, but glad things are looking ok now. Hope he continues to be at 100% and that you've got all caught up on your sleep.

I am glad Murphy is doing okay. That's good news!!  I hear ya about the vet bills, Fred got all his shots then they both got heartworm/flea treatments for the month and nail trims and my bill was like 200.00!! What the %$#???

But it's worth it for healthy dogs..............

I called Sasha my $10,000 Dog cuz of all her vet bills over the 5 years I had her, and she was worth every cent of it.  I'd spend another $10,000 to have her back and healthy!

Yep, they are worth all the money.  We spent $1900 on Sydney last month and if it happens again( I hope and pray it does not) I will spend it again.

My standard poodle, may he rest in peace, was $250 every time he ripped out a toenail. When he passed away the vet, who had been his vet for 15 years, gave us a list of every toe-nail drama he had. We had over $5,000 just in toenails...my mom, who was still very upset, laughed and said, "Well at least he was still less expensive then a kid!".
