Youngest son started his orientation at his new job tonight.  He will be working at Ikea, like the rest of the family.  This is the first real job he's had, not counting working for family members.  This is all very amusing for me as he takes his first steps into the adult world.

Tell Travis Button and Zipper said CONGRATS! Yes, I'm sure this will be an eye-opening experience for him. The first "boss" (Mom & Dad excluded) always is. LOL

Adulthood stinks!!!!! LOL. The whole thing is way overated

I hope he does well and has no problem with this new part of growing up, Pam!!!!

Mary is always saying, "I can't wait until I'm a grown up and can do whatever I want". LMBO! Yeah, right, cuz that's what I do --- "whatever I want". I wish.

I am a little afraid to become a grown up myself. But it is coming, pretty soon.

I do love Ikea.

Please tell Travis congratulations for us Pam. Glad you're amused... We really should sit down and exchange war stories some time... Tiffany turned 18 just a few days before Travis did. In her endeavor to become an adult, she has now moved out of the house and into a friend's 5th wheel trailer, without plumbing or electricity, without a job or a savings account... Cross eyes here...and pray! Sheesh!

If you want the best seat in the house ... move the dog!

He said he had a hard time staying awake during orientation when they were going on and on about insurance benefits, since he plans to waive them because he is still on my health insurance. He liked the tour of the store the manager took them on...because they got a free ice cream cone.

He didn't realize that he was getting paid for orientation until I told him last night. That made things a little better. But he still has two more nights of orientation to get through. Tonight they will go over safety, bomb threats, fire evacuation, and stuff like that.
