These little vests don't come off easily, right?  I need something for little Morgandy when on walks.  She's too teeny for the smallest harness I have (the ones I used on Mitzy and Mayfly when they were pups)....I've been using them but I'd rather have something tighter on her.  I've tried the little martingale collar, too, and I can use it but it's not the safest because if I let up on the slack on the leash it gets too loose.   She gets VERY excited when we first start out on walks and I thought maybe a good fitting Puppia vest would keep her safely attached to me....anyone use these?

Anyone have a very small Puppia harness or vest their rattie has outgrown that they would consider selling me?  She weighs a about 9 pounds right now and very narrow through the chest with a tiny neck.  I have one for Skipper but it's a medium and no way does it fit her.

I'd rather get a used one as she's a foster dog and I would just send it one with her when she's adopted.

Morgandy's probably too big for that as she's 9 pounds now - Coco was much smaller as a pup wasn't she?
I have to say though - love the "Playboy" shot there! LOL

Yeah, I saw Morgandy's weight after I posted, but I still have a harness for you. I bought CoCo and Angus both harnesses, but CoCo's chest is too broad, and she needed the next size up. Gus is about the same frame as Morgandy and the one I got him fits well. He wasn't the best walker at first and this one has been great for him. I have the pink one that I lost the receipt for and just never returned. I'm sure that one would fit her.

I just bought this one at PetSmart for $11....It fits him perfect for when we go out in a crowded public place (this way I know he won't break loose from me)  Dink is very little too like Morgandy.

It fits him pretty snug and the hook is on his back so if he pulls or I pull him I have control of his body, it's worked pretty good so far, he can't get out of it.  They have some others that have the thicker/wider straps.

Mary Beth,
I LOVE my puppia vest harnesses for Aka and Taffy. I refuse to take them out without them on. I tried using their seat belt harnesses once just to take them into the groomers and Taffy pulled out of that in a flash. When I went to pick them up later that day, I brought their puppias and had no problems.

I have actually taken Aka up by his via his leash when a larger dog was after him. I wouldn't do it on a regular basis but in that emergency it worked.

I only have mediums which would be too big. I hope you can find a small for her. I'll keep my eyes open for one too.

After all this talk about Puppia harness, I think I'll be looking for one for Teddy.

MaryBeth---I have a puopia vest for Bo and it is almost too small for him---and he only weighs around 8 lbs at best, so it might even be too small for her. How long do you think you will have Morgandy? I've been wanting to get Bo a new puppia vest that fits him a little better, but I havent done that yet. And yes, they are escape proof.

Yeah, that would be too small for Morgandy. As far as how long I'll have her - that's the million dollar question Paul! We always hope not too long because of course if she's adopted that makes room for another rattie that needs rescuing. A lot of people are looking at her on Petfinder so I hope she finds a home in the next few weeks!

I got a regular Puppia harness for Skipper after I got him but it never fit him right - always too loose around the front - but he's made oddly so that's why he came out of his. All the pictures I've seen of other ratties in Puppias they look like they fit very snuggly.
