A friend of mine lost her black maltese yesterday. It got out of the yard and they can't find him. He is not microchipped and had no collar on. They have been looking since yesterday 9am, flyers up all over and put in calls to all the kennels. I hope whoever has him is a good family.

It's so scary the thought of losing your dogs, probably my biggest fear.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

Our cousin's Basset Hound (Rosco) has been missing for 2 weeks now, they live in a rural area and there's no sign of him.  They look for him everyday.  He's not one to wander off or go far.

it is a VERY SCARY thought! I dont wish this on anyone... and there are too many selfish people out there that will just take the dog and not return them either... i hope the dig is ok and returns home!

It's one of my biggest fears, too. The fear they'll get loose, hit by a car or just lost and be scared and hungry....plus we've had a couple of small dogs go missing around here that were probably either picked up as bait dogs or for selling to labs. They were dogs that neighbors allowed to roam free up and down the street so really the owners fault but still I hate to see that. And can you believe one of those owners got another long haired chi to replace one that was lost and now lets this one run free???

Mine never go outside with out a leash, and are trained to stay inside when the door is opened unless told to go out, but still I'm akways afrais that one time something is going to happen and they will be lost. I'm sending up a little preyer hoping that they find their pup.
