The only time that I eat hot dogs is on the way home from a bar and such. If I do its a dollar dog from the hot diggity dog cart with cream cheese and jalapeños. Sounds strange, but thats how they do it.

I would not have guessed so many added mayo.

I did work with someone who moved here from North Carolina, she had to have ketchup and mayo mixed together for a condiment on everything. She used it for dipping fries. Got me hooked.

ACKKKK!!  I do that too!!!!!!!!  Kevin thinks I am so wierd!!!

Around here, soft drinks are called COKES.

"What kind of coke do you want with that?"

"Pepsi."

I don't know why.

I know that in the south everybody calls carbonated beverages "Coke". I don't drink coke. Don't like it at all. I drink Diet Pepsi or lemonade. Because I don't like coke, I call those beverages "soda". I just like being a tad different sometimes.

I like mayo, mustard, ketchup, and cheese on my hot dogs and I like my cheese melted.

My daughter likes to dip her french fries in Mayo. I used to do that too, then it got kinda gross. She just hasn't grown out of it yet. lol

as for me, i like 'em grilled and plain, nothing on it! not even a bun =)

We call everything Coke too... I always thought it was a cajun thing haha

& the mayo and ketchup is what we use for crawfish dip (and I occasionaly make it just to dip crackers in) just add a bit of worchajakdjfkshire sauce (haha idk how to spell it) a touch of hot sauce and some Tonys!

The best hotdogs I have had is when I have gonr through the Chicago Midway Airport, and gotten a hotdog with everthing on it. Onions, peppers, saurkraut, mustard , ketchup, etc! I prefered the steamed ones to the grilled. Their grilled ones are burnt. On one of the short flights between Midway, and Livonia Michigan, I grabbed one just as I was getting on a commuter, 30 min flight. It drove people crazy because of the smell. They thought they were gonna get fed...I had to hide it while I ate it....hee hee!

For me dogs have to be Nathan's brand and then cooked on the grill--almost to the point of being burned.  Then served on a grilled 100% whole wheat bun with cheese, ketchup, mustard, relish, and chopped vadalia onions.  My second favorite way to eat a dog is with chili and cole slaw.  Up here we call the chili and cole slaw dog a "West Virginia Hot Dog."  And we call soft drinks "pop".

I would not have minded a few burnt grill mat\rks, but they actually sliced it open, in half, and burnt the inside. I like a juicy dog. It just seemed too dried out, like cardboard, and crunchy black.

haha reminds me of when i lived in grapevine, TX...oh yeah...thats almost EXACTLY where you live....makes no sense to me!!
Now, about the hotdogs....Im not a big fan AT ALL...i will have one at a cookout...with MUSTARD (no ketchup) relish and chopped onions....
Dad taught me to eat them sliced in half lengthwise and cooked in a frying pan....i dont mind then that way either, but havent had one since I lived with dad...about 10 years ago

We drink pop here.  I do not eat hot dogs but brats on the other hand-- in a bun with saurkraut and dipped in baked beans with chips on the side.

Ikea actually has great hot dogs in their bistro/snack bar. You can get 2 hot dogs, a bag of chips, and a Coke/soda/pop for $2.50. You will enjoy the hot dogs the rest of the day through burps.

Oh Mitch, we also had birthday cake decorated like a baseball diamond. We all had green lips and tongues the rest of the day.

Okay, I have to add that there is NOTHING like a Hoffman's hot dog. Seriously, you all need to come up to NY and we'll cook out! My relatives that live South always by them by the boatload and ship them home. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, the "package" hot dogs just don't cut it.

I bet I don't eat two hotdogs a year.... just never cared much for them.
Now if they are grilled, I'll eat one! But I don't want anything on it...
Now bologna? That's a different story! I can make a meal with bologna and crackers!

hmmm... nora... is it me or arent hotdogs and bologna pretty much exactly the same, just different size, package and method of eating?!

fry a piece of bologna and it will taste like a grilled hotdog!!!! great snadwich: fry bologna, toast bread, add mayo, avocado, onions and hot sauce. YUMMY!!! my mexican coworker introduced me to that!
