Just popping in for a very quick hello... have been really MIA for several days.  Family from out of town left awhile ago.. now preparing for yet another guest flying in this afternoon from Michigan.   Hubby is going to pick her up for me, so I can get clean sheets on the bed and pick up the house a little.  It looks like a cyclone went through with a vengeance.   I don't know when I've ever cooked as much as I have in the past several days.  Having the family together... even though bringing us together was the death of my precious aunt.... was wonderful.  Yesterday everyone came to the house for lunch following the funeral, and several stayed for a walk on the farm.  Seeing the family pull out of the driveway awhile ago was sure bittersweet.

Hope everyone here is doing well.  I'm tired (dogs are tired too!)... but I know next week I'll bounce back and I'll look back to some wonderful memories for a long, long, time.

We are thankful you took some time to stop in and say hi.

Sorry to hear about your Aunt.  But it sounds like you really enjoyed the family time.  Those are the best sometimes.  Good luck and talk with you soon again!!

Glad you popped in for a little while. That's what I remember about family funerals from my childhood. Every saying how it was a shame that they all had to get together for a sad reason.
