I don't think Baxter's ever eaten any cat poop, but he does seem to find goose poop particularly delectable

Lucy leaves the kitty roca alone. Had to train her to do that though. When she was a pup she was like a magnet to it.

Oh bird poop too. Lucy has to stop and at least smell each individual poop on our walks.

Yuck.  I've been blessed with a non-poop eating girly.  I've heard that sometimes they just like to eat it, othertimes it's because they need more fiber.  Is this correct?

This is too funny. I thought my Shadow was the only one that did this. We can't walk without his stopping to smell or lick it. I have to tug at his leash to leave it alone. He is absolutely a riot because we have ducks in a pond and he just goes for them and other dogs too.

I am back again with dog history 101. dogs are scavengers, scavengers eat anything that they can find to eat. This includes various poop. In cave guy times, this kept dogs alive when they could not find anything else to eat. We are civilized now, but dogs are not. They are just trying hard to please us and our maners say that poop is not for eating. Some dogs have more trouble with temptation than others, and poop is up there with don't steal the meat off the table. Now you know.

ANYTHING WORTH DOING IS WORTH OVERDOING Mom of eight, only three left at home! Pack leader to ten ratties: Maggie, Mysty, Berry, Simon, Ceecee and five puppies, Star,Sari, Bluebelle, Double stuf, and Snortie. As well as Ginger the Border Collie and a herd of turkeys!

My dogs are constanly digging in the yard for 'tootsie rolls'!  I don't get it! Some folks say that the dogs are lacking certain nutients in their diet. I do not believe that. I think it is just what they do. I agree with Susan.

Yep, that behavior goes on here too.  We have bird stands that allow our parrots to have out of cage time.  These are simple PVC frames that I can move from place to place and I just have newspapers under.  The good thing is that Amos just naturally uses these areas to go potty on.  The bad thing is that he also considers it a "buffet".

I was talking about this the other day with a friend. We were discussing the tabs that are supposed to make poop "taste bad"?? To me if they are eating poop already, how much worse could it taste!!?? LOL
