Well we ended up with the calico cat. No one ever returned for her so we adopted her. Well she has been the best cat. I always fed her in the morning and again in the evening. She would meow at my back door when she was ready to eat. It did not take her long to figure out how things worked around here.

Well as time went on we gave her a name of "Sissy".

Thursday very early morning we had some very bad weather past through with tornados about 8-12 miles from my home. It was not pretty at all. Even though we did not have the tornado here or any damage we had lots of neighbors with trees down and roof damage.

Anyway, since then I have not seen Sissy. She has not come for her Thrursday evening feeding, her Friday morning feeding and nor has she been her for her Friday evening feeding. This is so not like her even though she has only been her for a while. She was set in her pattern. Like I said, if I did not feed her on time she was meowing at my back door.

I am worried that something happened to her now.

Does a cat normally take off after such a bad weather case that we had? Do you think she is out there somewhere and will return?

Cats are funny creatures! She most likely will come home eventually! We have had a few like that...some gone for weeks! Figured we would never see them again...and then they came back.

My mom's has five cats and every single one of them has gone missing for about a week at a time. They always come back, but especially when bad wheather turns up, they tend to dissapear for short time periods. Hope she comes back soon,!

yeah...cats will hide in some strange places at times if they are scared. She could have gotten shut in somewhere too. One time my cat went missing for a couple days (no bad weather) but I was very worried. Turns out the kids were playing in the camper and he went in there and got shut in. Boy was he happy to see us!! lol Hope you find sissy soon.

Sissy might have taken cover somewhere during the storm. I know a lady whose cat was missing for over a week. Turns out he'd crawled under a neighbor's pier and beam house foundation and couldn't figure out how to get out. They finally heard him crying and rescued him.

we had a lightning storm one time and Johnny's cat ran away never to be seen again. Unfortunately, yes that does happen. I hope Sissy returns home though.

She might have been far enough away that she needed to take refuge somewhere until the weather passes. Maybe she's at anouther house in the neighborhood. Give her time. I'm sure she'll turn up.

Sure hope she returns and is ok. Cats are known for wandering.....so maybe the storm just scared her off....but they have a good sense of direction and I bet she'll be home soon. Good luck!
