I think they do... My suggestion to Mario was for you to feed NDb the adult treats when you watch him. I mean it probably couldn't make him any worse behaved and maybe he would pass out...lol. I kid, (maybe)....lol

I need you to clarify one thing....did Next Door Boy poop in his pants or did he pull them down and squat, like you would do if you were camping out in the wilderness?

The child pulled his pants down...squatted and crapped in diagonal boy's yard!  I absolutely freaked out!  His parents were informed, I have no idea how they handled it though.

I'm not sure I ever caught how old this kid is. Obviously, he's at least 5 since he's in school, so you'd think he'd be old enough to say, "I have to go to the bathroom." Was ND Big Sister bad as a child?

Yes, NDB is 5, his big sister is much better..
He almost died during his birth and his mom thinks he's her miracle baby, she spoils him.
The sister can be rough but for the most part, she's a good kid.
NDB can be really great.  He just gets away with murder.  The dad is always frustrated because he wants to discipline him but the mom gets in the way and says he's just a baby.
The result is this incredibly rude and disobedient child... ugh!

Oh gosh!  This scenario is SO much like my friend's!  Both she and her son were pretty close to not making it, and the doctors told her she could NOT have anymore children.  So, they were so afraid of doing something to hurt him that they never disciplined him.  As he became a toddler and then pre-school age, he just got worse.  Our minister and his wife both tried to provide constructive criticism but it pretty much fell on deaf ears.  They would "try" but it "didn't work" so they'd give up.  They just didn't stick with it long enough!  When the father would attempt to discipline, the mother would--in front of the child--overturn anything and everything the father said or did, which just made matters that much worse.  He's 10, and while he is SOME better, he still isn't a child I want to be around.  Ever.

Oh wow...yeah, that sounds exactly like the next door family.  The child is very hyper but he has no boundaries.  I make him mind me but it's exhausting.  We've had some great times together and I do love him but I can only take him in very small doses...  8 more days.... 8 more days....

I don't usually condone medicating a child, but I think it might be called for in this case. Has he been tested for ADD or ADHD? You missed a great opportunity to whip his little butt yesterday.

You didn't clean him up?     What did the Diagonal Neighbors say about his gift to them?

HELL NO!!  LOL

It was 4:00 and big sis was home... he was her problem!!  I know I should have cleaned him up but I can only take so much!!  His sister did make him use baby wipes at their house.  I checked on them.  I started feeling bad about it.  Big sis called their mom and she said,"Good for Shannon!"  So, she wasn't upset that I didn't wash the boy down.

As far as diagonal neighbor's go... I have no idea what was said...   I'm staying out of it.

It sounds like Next Door Mom thinks everything her precious baby boys does is CUTE. When he robs a liquor store at age 15, she will probably only ask if he brought her some wine.

LOL...

It's so weird because I have seen her so upset by his behavior.  She gets really frustrated and tells her husband to deal with him.  When her husband DOES deal with him, SHE gets upset.  I don't get it!!

I have seen her attempt to discipline him... she'll tell him to go to time out and he just looks at her and says no.  It doesn't faze her that he tells her no!  He usually ends up getting away with the original bad behavior AND back talking!  OOOOOOOO

I like the tales of next door boy becuase it makes me realize, no matter what, my children could always be worse! lol

And I don't know what it is with kids and pooping. A couple weeks ago my daughter (almost 5) pooped her pants at the dinner table becuase "she didn't think I would let her use the bathroom".

Now I know I can be (in their words) a "mean mom" but there is no way in heck I run something similar to a concentration camp or state penatentery!

Thank god for adults with patiance!
