That comment would have made me really mad too!  Not everyone that visits us "likes" our dogs because our dogs make sure the guests are well loved when they come over!  We used to have a 1/2 door off the kitchen to close the dogs into the family room, but Holly started climbing over it so we took it down. Now if the guests don't like the canine visits they are just welcome to leave whenever they like.

I actually have this poem posted by my front door.  Not that I get a lot of company and those who visit know they have to tolerate the dogs.   Thought maybe you would like this.  Can't seem to avoid the double spacing.

Policy of the House

I love my dogs- this is their home,

From which, I hope, they never roam.

They're faithful friends, I love them best.

This is their home,  you are a guest.

If dogs to you are just a peeve-

Then by all means, feel free to leave!

Sounds like your step-daughter's friend has hoof-in-mouth disease! I've known some people like that who don't filter anything they say and are then baffled when people get mad at them. However, these same people are very hurt and offended when someone says something they don't agree with.

I'd like to keep a copy too, please.  As for the double spacing use control-enter and the cursor will go to the beginning of the next line instead of double spacing.  HTH...

MB---I wouldn't lose any sleep over her comments.  Obviously she wasn't raised with the saying "if you dont have something nice to say, dont say anything at all".   My oldest daughter has a boyfriend that is a "cat person" and he doesnt care for dogs at all, and when they come to visit at our house (which isnt often, thank goodness, cos I really dont like this guy much at all for a number of reasons) and the dogs go over to him to sniff his feet or whatever, he looks at them out of the corner of his eye and moves his foot so they arent touching him.  It bothered me at first, because I felt that he thought my dogs were disgusting or something.  So imagine how much I loved it when Dar came out of the kitchen after drinking about a half-gallon of water, walked over to him, and left a big "sluuuuurrrpppp" on his arm!  hahahaha---the look on his face---it was priceless!

Well MB the next time you will just have to borrow Dime cause if he can't greet and kiss you, he lifts his leg and pees on ya.
