I'M NEW TO THIS BREED BUT NOT TO DOGS , BUT I'VE NOTICED THAT YOU WILL SAY REFFERING TO COLORS OF YOUR RATTIES THEY ARE TRI, BLUE , SO ON ........... BUT WHAT IS HARLEY? |

| That would be tri colored. If he was only black and tan, that might rule him out as to not be rattie. The white chest makes the difference. Is he registered as a rattie with papers? |

I don't know if you can see my avatar very well, but Ratty the bigger dog is a tri-color, he is white with black spots and has brown on his cheeks and eyebrows.
Cameo is a bi- color, white with black markings. I don't know if that helps, but like Bonita says a pic that shows his whole body would enable us to help you answer that question. |

Yeah, sounds like he's tri to me to. There isn't any percentage of one color to the other, as long as there are three colors.

| A tri would have more white. He has 3 colors but because the white is limited to feet and chest it would make him a tuxedo. Jeter is a blue and tan tuxedo, the white just on his feet, chest and belly. You automatically assume that the white is there when you call them a tuxedo. |

ah... i meant white on the body... piebald look. bryosn is almost a tuxedo except 2 stipes across his back and neck.

Nancy: the descriptions I've seen on rattie colors and patterns would say Bailey is eithe a Black Tri Tuxedo or Black Tuxedo.

| I'm a little iffy with Baily. I would Call Bailey a black and tan tuxedo, but I may be wrong because the white goes around her neck... maybe experts can offer some insight. |

Hmmm.  Indie could be a blue tuxedo or a blue tri tuxedo. His whole body is blue with tan on his paws and little on his face with white going from his neck down his chest. |
