Don't think he knew about it this time. The greetings only last a few minutes, then he's back into the lounging lifestyle in the chair and on the bed

You called it exactly Vicki, he has own pillow that he spends most of the day on. He didn't know Mike was coming home, been about a month since we've seen him, so I think Russ thought it was just me coming home- hence the hesitation. When I come home he just stretches and waits for me to come to him.
Pam, Russ is an only dog for now, maybe when we get settled in NC we can think about adopting him a sister.

Thought so!!! Ernie leaves his butt mark on MY PILLOW I'm used to sleeping on hair.
