We take Lola to the river often, because that's a favorite pass-time during the summer months here. She loves to play on the bank and to explore the woods, but she is not wild about the actual act of swimming. She does humor me, though, and with a sigh, and -- I swear -- an eye-roll, she hops in and swims across with me sometimes.
