I thought that by putting up a baby gate I could give the babies a little play room.....don't think it worked.  LOL

LMAO... that's funny. Angel jumped right over the one we had too, but only if I was down the hall or something... Usually she respected it. Get another one, and set it on top of that one. There is no way she'll get out of it then. ;p

LOL. Yep, back to the drawing board. They do make higher one that are all one piece and some have a little door built into the bottom that you can open when they are allowed to come and go.

Once Yaz realized she could jump the gate there was no point putting it up. She somehow respected the invisible boundary though.

You just have to love the ones that will jump every thing.

Smart little critters. In our early days we had a flimsy gate. It regular tipped over and terrified the dogs which we rectified quickly. A handy side effect of this gate was that they are all terrified of it and do not jump on any gates or over them. It wasn't intentional training on our part but it was effective!

OMGOSH I TOTALLY JINXED MYSELF. Zip has now decided, after 10 years living with us (he was about 1 when we adopted him) that he can jump the gate. He was ALWAYS able to jump up above the gate line (straight up) but he never launched over it. The last week or so he's been finding his way over it and joining us up in the bedroom. Now the peanut has decided to copy him. And poor dumpy Eddie, who can't jump to save his life, decided today that he couldn't stand being the only one (not including Roxy who just sleeps through all this ruckus) still locked up so he literally shouldered the gate down by sheer muscle. *sigh*

I should never have posted in this thread!

That was one of Lucy first "tricks" when I got her. Well, she climbed it. It was a good thought though
