Not too shabby for almost dying in September from kidney failure and pancreatitis, huh? She's also blind now. She's absolutely amazing, this tough old broad. I marvel at her every day. I have learned so much from this old coot. One of her vets calls her the ancient miracle dog! LOL...
I still give her subQ fluids every day to keep her kidneys flushed out, but she's doing great as you can see. I adore this old girl.

How amazing she don't look that old at all. I love the idea that they live that long. That was the main selling point for me to get my first rattie. We had a lab and having to put him down after 13 years was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my lifetime. So I figure 18 years out of our ratties would be perfect cause it put me into that age bracket that I wouldn't be getting another dog after that.
She is just wonderful amazing that she is blind cause she really don't act like she is but I guess because she is so familiar with her surroundings. |

| Hard to believe she is 18. I'm glad to know that they live so long with good care. Ratty is almost 11 and I hope he will be with me for many more years to come. Sasha is darlin' and so sweet, you can tell that is Moma's baby. I'm also glad to know that I'm not the only one who talks to my pup that way. |
