Very cute! Niko is sure a sweetie.  I love his coloring.  He is like a very tiny Dobie.  I usually don't like minpins cause they never really look like Dobies, but Niko is so cute with that color.  He has a very sweet face too.  I love watching a dog get a belly rub.  Sometimes Dar will get up on the bed and roll over for me to rub her belly, but not very often, she has a thing about having her belly exposed.  It is harder for her to get back on her feet fast because of her size, and I think she feels vulnurable on her back with her feet in the air.  She prefers to have her butt scratched for hours.  She backs up to us and just acts like, WELL!  get to it.

Yeah, I've been reading up on the history of Ratties.  Apparently, before the introduction of the Smooth Fox Terrier into the breed, they were more Niko's coloring.  After that, they had the white markings.  The all black, with brown and white marks, comes from the original Fiest.
