Serves 1:
1 1/4 oz. Cuervo® Gold OR 1800 Reposado tequila
3/4 oz. Cointreau®
3/4 oz. Grand Marnier®
1/2 oz. simple syrup
1 oz. fresh lime juice OR 4 oz. sweet/sour mix
Serves more than 1:
Change the oz. measurement to cups  -
These are great in a pitcher in the fridge and kept cold - also try "rimming" the glass in course sugar instead of salt!
These go down way smooth and sweet - so pace yourself  |

P.S. For anyone else - Do NOT skimp on the tequila, buy the good stuff. The low$ version just ruins. Life is too short to drink cheap tequila!! |

OK, I'm a margarita...ok an adult bevarage newbie...(I just started experimenting with different drinks last year...) so help me out...what kind of liquor are the following so I know what section to look in when I go!!
3/4 oz. Cointreau®

and where do you get...

I am thinking about making a pitcher of these for my Bday cookout this weekend!!
(oh, and I learned an important lesson this weekend.....Sour Apple Martini mix w/1 part tequilla, 2 parts vodka, and 1 part peach schnapps.....will knock you off your butt!! I had four and don't remember anything after I layed down on the couch...but obviously I didn't pass out..Kevin says I put Max in his kennel, took a shower, and talked to him all before I went to bed!! ACKK...I'm so glad I'm married and didn't start drinking when I was single and going out!! I might would have been in trouble!!) |

Yeah...No Kidding...I WON'T do it again!!! I think that was the first time I have ever been drunk...only I never felt anymore tipsy than normal and I was fine the next day...no headache, no sick stomach...just the temporary amnesia!! Oh, and Kevin has had ball with that!!! He keeps coming up with new things to tell me that I did....only I don't know what to believe him on!!

Cointreau is just listed as a "unique spirit"
Grand Marnier is an orange liquor - make sure you get the orange
 
Simple syrup you make yourself. Heat equal parts water and sugar in the microwave or on the stove until the sugar is completely dissolved. You can store it in a container and keep in the fridge.
Let me know how you like them  Just be conservative cuz they taste sweet and fabulous and sneak up on you! |

| Hubby got sick on cheap tequila when he was a teenager and can't stand to even look at the bottle now. He gags at the smell every time he makes me a pitcher of margaritas. |

For sure! He won't even taste it to see if it is sweet enough. He'll have me taste it to see if he needs to add something. His favorite drink is Woodford Reserve. Maker's Mark or Jack Daniels will do in a pinch. But he says there is nothing like a Coors Light after doing lawn care on a hot summer day.

I do NOT drink cheap tequila. Life is too short!!! For straight tequila, I go with Patron Silver - too expensive too use in a mixed drink. Goes down smooth. 1800 reposado is good for mixed drinks. |

12 oz. can of lime-aid
12 oz. can of water
12 oz. can of tequilla (the good stuff, of course)
12 oz can of beer
I know this sounds weird, especially with the beer, (really can't taste it's in there) but it's good, can't drink it any other way.
Use the lime-aid can to measure tequilla and water.... haha Brandy! |
