Love the crockpot, but hate the messy cleanup??  If you have not tried the new Crockpot Liners that are out....they work great!  No more soaking the crock, etc.  You put a liner in, make your food and when you are done toss them away.  They are available at most grocery stores here and at Walmart.....  You can find them in the aisle with the foil and saran wraps, etc.   Just thought I would share since they work so great......

Thanks Lynn....BTW, I have made your chicken tortilla soup several times in the crockpot and is loved by all who have tried it. I want to thank you for that great and very easy recipe. I have given it out to the ladies at work too. We had a potluck lunch and I brought that and they ate it ALL....and they wanted the recipe! Just wanted to let you know what a great hit it is!!

Those liners a great. I have had good success with spraying the inside of the pot with PAM.

that sounds good!   I will have to check that out, and thanks lynn for the tip....

I am using my crockpot right now....  I just made my famous chili and its sitting in the crockpot for the avaliability for anytime today.  I have to study for a test, so i try to make hearty meals for the family so i don't have to slave in the kitchen all day.

Thanks Teresa! That chicken tortilla soup recipe has made the rounds here too. I love how easy it is....adding the cans with the juice as well.....sure makes throwing it together so easy.... Glad you and your family have enjoyed it as much as we do. :-)

Just an FYI, crock pot lovers.  Taste of Home magazine has a special issues on the magazine racks this month dedicated solely to crock pot recipes.  My Mom bought it while whe was visiting last week.  She wen home and forgot it, so I was reading it this afternoon and some of the recipes look pretty good.  Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Love my crock pot but the idea of one more disposable for the land fill kind of upsets me. I wish we weren't such a disposable society, from dogs to cleaning products, it's an attitude of mass consumerism. That being said, crock pots are great! Better go, my soap box needs washing.

Oh Mardi---so glad your crew liked it! Perfect thing for a day at the lake....you can come home to a great meal. I am always amazed at how the chicken just shreds and falls apart after being in there all day..... Glad your family enjoyed it!
